for a graduation present my parents said i can go to one of these places but I’m not sure where I would have more fun. I love to dance, party, and meet new people and i would be going around the middle of June.

montreal or quebec city to study french this summer?

hello! I am a undergrad student planning on studying abroad to study french this summer..
I’m from california, and would LOVE to go to France, but I don’t have the funds this year..
So I’ve been looking at other options such as Montreal and Quebec City.
Would would you guys recommend? I hear both cities have a ton of pros and cons including:
Montreal: More expensive, but more modern (party, clubs)
Quebec City: Less expensive, “European” , historic site

I am not really that interested in the party scene, but I don’t want to get too bored either!
Have any of you been to these cities (or even better, studied in them?)
And in terms of the french spoken there, is it a lot different from the dialect/accent spoken in France?
