Concert enregistré au Club Soda à l’occasion du Festival International de Jazz de Montréal. Le groupe High Tone s’est créé en 1997 à Lyon sur les pentes de la Croix Rousse. Dès ses débuts sur le label indépendant Jarring Effects le groupe jouit d’une totale liberté artistique et mélange bon nombre d’influences musicales : dub jamaïcain des années 1970, hip-hop, jungle, drum’n'bass, techno, sonorités orientales. Résolument novo dub peut-être même l’instigateur de ce style le groupe High Tone se caractérise par un dub puissant truffé d’effets.
