A native of Athens, Georgia, Barnes formed the group following a failed romance with a woman from Montreal. Well I’m happy to report that my trip to Montreal has definetely been worth the extra 6 hour plane trip . . . Darb and his roomies have been great hosts and even cleaned the bathroom before my arrival (the shower was supposedly clogged with a giant animal-like hair ball). We’ve been spending most of our days exploring the city, which is breathtakingly beautiful and I doubt I’ll find a greater people-watching city along my travels. So far, the scenic highlights of the trip have been Old Montreal, Mount Royal and St-Joseph’s Oratory. This week were going to hit up some of the trendy and very french parts of the city, so it should be a great time. As for the night life, it’s been amazing! Ladies back home, apparently we do not know how to party! These boys have definetely given a new meaning to ‘partying until the sun comes up’. I thought of the GP girls when we went out to an 80′s $1.00 beer night and it was pure craziness. Will write before I leave for Fiji on Saturday. Hope all is well! At first he said that I was invited too but I will be nearly five months pregnant so there is really nothing for me to do and I haven’t felt the greatest the first half of my pregnancy so who knows how I will feel by then besides I don’t think its safe to be around a bunch of rowdy drunk people when I am pregnant…who knows what will happen.

I don’t think he should consider going alone to party with his friends either…I don’t think its fair or responsible for a father to be…wait for the next one so I can come too.

Am I being unfair by thinking this way? I am trying not to let my pregnancy hormones do my thinking for me but its really upsetting that he is thinking about going alone and now because I have voiced my opinion he won’t even talk to me! Its sad….
